How To Get A Sugary Drink Stain Out Of Carpet:
The steps, above, for getting a sugary drink stain out of upholstery is the same for carpet. Advisory Notes: Ammonia is not as harmful to synthetic carpet fibres as it is to woollen carpet fibres which it can seriously damage.
If the carpet is synthetic, and the sugary drink stain is really stubborn, try mixing a solution of one-part ammonia to one part very hot water and using this to try to remove the stain.
Apply some of the solutions to the carpet and then blot with a towel. To get the solution really hot you can use a steam iron; by applying the iron to the towel covering the stain, but be careful not to burn or melt your carpet!
Some synthetic carpet fibres have a low melting point, so test in an inconspicuous area first when considering using either the ammonia or steam iron.
